Completing 25 Years of Priesthood: Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil:

Today is the 25th anniversary of the ordination of Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil. He was ordained as a priest on 28th April 1994 by the then Bishop of Palakkad (Late) Mar Joseph Irimpen. Following his ordination, he began his service as a parish priest in two parishes in Attapady, Kerala and continued serving there for three years till April 1997. Driven by his calling to preach the Gospel and labour for the salvation of souls, on April 28, 1998, with the Apostolic blessings of Most Rev. Mar Jacob Manathodath, Bishop of Palakkad Diocese he founded the Sehion Retreat Centre and Sehion Ministries at Attapady, Kerala.
He began evangelising through media as early as 2004 when he founded Sehion Television Ministry and a few years later Maranatha Media Center in 2007. Today there are several televised prayer programmes led by him on both domestic and international channels, the most popular of them being Abhishekagni (in Malayalam) on Shalom TV and Thunder of God on Shalom World (in English). These programmes are regularly watched by millions of people from varied backgrounds around the world and thousands have testified to miraculous healings and experiencing the saving grace of Jesus in their lives through these prayer programmes. All his sermons are available on the official channel of Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil on You Tube and most of his Bible conventions can be viewed online on You Tube channel ‘Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil Live’.
He is also the author of more than 55 books and some of these books namely Power of the Name of Jesus and Lord of the Sick are powerful instruments of the Holy Spirit in building faith and touching the lives of millions of people both in India and abroad. The Power of the Name of Jesus has already been translated from Malayalam to several languages such as English, Spanish, Polish, German, Slovakia, Japanese, Arabic, Burmese, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Konkani and Oriya languages. Thousands have testified to experiencing the saving love of Jesus by praying the prayers in these books.
He is the Founder and Director of Abhishekagni Ministries also known as Anointing Fire Catholic Ministries (AFCM) which is committed to reaching the Gospel to the whole world. As part of its mission of world evangelisation, the ministry is actively engaged in conducting Retreats, Bible Conventions, Stay in Retreats and Youth Retreats both in India and in various parts of the world.
In 2010 he founded Abhishekagni Center at Attapadi, for priests and women religious wherein every month there are stay in retreats held for priests and nuns in English and Malayalam. The Center resonates with intercessory prayers and praise and worship round the clock. It is today a renowned pilgrim centre, where people flock in from various parts of the world to attend One Day retreats on every Saturday and experience the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is also the Co-Founder of two monasteries namely Preachers of Divine Mercy for priests which was instituted on 24 April 2018 and Abhishekagni Sisters of Jesus and Mary for women religious which was instituted on 08 September 2014. These two monasteries are also aimed at strengthening the Catholic faith through its missionary priests and sisters who lead a life of prayer and penance and are engaged in evangelising, filled with the power from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
